We believe technology should bring people closer to culture — not distract them from it. Muse Companion aims to prove this: an AI-assisted visit companion that gamifies learning, supports before, during, and after the visit, and offers interactions tailored to each individual.

Three interaction models are tested. Each answers a question, and none is decided at this stage.

    Does a trail of clues lengthen the time spent observing artworks?

  • Fashion Guide

    Does an itinerary adjusted to declared interests improve perceived relevance?

  • Scan Mode

    Does contextual information provided on demand support the visit, or interrupt it?

Data during the experimentation

No personal data is collected. There is no visitor profiling, behavioral tracking, or inference of emotional or psychological states.

This is not a precaution taken lightly: an experiment seeking to determine if AI can serve the visit does not need to know who the visitor is. What is measured concerns the routes, not the people.

Sobriety and sovereignty: objectives under evaluation

These three points are objectives that the experimentation must validate, not acquired properties.

  • Energy sobriety — the calculation cost per interaction is measured, using the frugality reference AFNOR SPEC 2314 as the methodological framework.
  • Data Localization — the prototype is designed so that the institution’s data sets can remain under its control.
  • Deployment flexibility — on-site installation and hosting chosen by the institution are being tested.

The beta test is underway. Three partner museums are participating. We are not accepting additional participants at this time, and no commercial offer is attached to this project.

Muse Companion is an independent exploration led by Culture For Causes Network. It is not part of any application under review and is not funded by any of them.
